A downloadable game for Windows

You’re a forest loner living away from civilisation. You live in a cabin in the woods, when squirrels decide to start stealing your things for themselves. Defend against waves of squirrels stealing your items and hold out for as long as you can!

This game was made for the sandbox winter jam https://itch.io/jam/the-sandbox-winter-jam.

How to play:

Use an input scheme of your choice to move around the map.

Heavens forbid, should you lose any of your precious belongings to the squirrels use SPACE to smack the thieving squirrels (humanely, PETA verified).

Pick up any lost items and place them in one of the two baskets with E to replenish any of your lost health.

One last thing, those squirrels are going to keep coming in greater and greater numbers, so prepare yourself and hold out for as long as you can!

I really like the graphics and the sounds! The pixel art is really polished and cute, it fits the game! The movement of the squirrels is also really well done, they feel very lively and playful! It kinda makes me sad I have to kill them ;)
There's some latency in the movement of the character though which makes it a bit annoying to play. I also think that having the character move straight instead of diagonal would make it more intuitive to control (and I don't think it would hurt the isometric view of the playground). It also makes it a bit hard to hit the squirrels.

I like the concept though and with some polishing to the character, I this could be a very fun game! Thank you for making it :)

Cute visuals but the diagonal movement feels pretty janky
